Gumtree spokesman, Eleni Gavalas, is the first to make an appointment on behalf of business. Gavalas said, “We are really happy to have promised our support and have joined the challenges of work waste. For more than 14 years, we have helped Australians trade in Gumtree and embrace sustainable life by giving many opportunities for new life. This is a type of direct action that we need from business throughout Australia,” Smith said. “If we can involve workplaces in overcoming plastic problems, it also gives a good example for employees to take similar actions in their homes too”.
With more than 250 businesses in it, Zero Co has stopped consuming 22,650 disposable plastic bottles, with the hope that to see this number quickly rising when free plastic continues.
