CoinDCX ropes in former Amazon Pay India director Gaurav Arora as senior vice president

Crypto Exchange supported by Coinbase Coinbase Coinbase has been binding to Gaurav Arora as a senior vice president to focus on developing cases of the use of crypto and blockchain technology, the company said.

This came when the top exchanges such as Cindcx and Coinswitch tried to see additional ways to monetize their platforms because the trading volume continues to decline.

In his previous duties as Director of Product at Amazon Pay India, Arora is responsible for launching and increasing digital payments in many categories such as payment of bills, transfer of money, financial service payments, and film tickets. He also launched the Amazon Pay wallet product which is ranked among the top prepaid payment instruments in India.

IIT Roorkee graduates and MBA degrees from IIM -B in the field of finance, Arora is also an equity trader in Nomura Securities, Hong Kong where he designed and trades the arbitration model in the Asian market.

Neeraj Khandelwal, one of the founders of Coindcx, said: “Arora, with his extensive experience in building consumer products, will focus on building decentralized financial space that has the potential to empower billions of financial.”

Last week, Coindcx said that he had appointed Kiran Vivekananda as the Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs to cooperate with industrial regulators and stakeholders.

Revenue from operations jumped more than six times to 38.91 Crore RS on FY21. Employee costs also rose to RS 11.69 Crore from RS 3.98 Crore last year while the overall cost rose to more than RS 40 Crore from RS 5.71 Crore at FY20.
